Get the scoop on the Nov. 3 election; early voting begins today

Registered voters in Texas have an opportunity to weigh in on changes to the state's constitution starting today. There are seven proposed constitutional amendments on the ballot covering issues ranging from property taxes to transportation to hunting and fishing.
Additionally, if you happen to live in San Antonio's House District 118, you will have the opportunity to elect a new state representative during this same election period. In the HD 118 special election, six candidates are vying to replace Rep. Joe Farias (D-San Antonio), who is retiring. ATPE will be sending additional special election information to members who live in HD 118.
Here are details on when and how to cast your vote in this important election.
- Early voting: Begins today, Oct. 19, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30
- Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3

Where to vote: Contact the registrar of voters in your county to find your local polling places depending on the precinct in which you live and are registered.
