Watch candidates for Texas Governor and Lt. Governor debate next week

Learn more about candidates at the top of the ticket and where they stand on public education. Early next week, candidates for Texas Governor and Lieutenant Governor will debate each other in anticipation of Election Day, Nov. 4. Here are the debate details:
- Lt. Gubernatorial Debate: Democratic nominee Senator Leticia Van De Putte will debate Republican nominee Senator Dan Patrick on Monday, Sept. 29, in Austin at 7 p.m. (Central Time). Check your local TV stations or view a live stream of the debate online courtesy of the Texas Tribune.
- Gubernatorial Debate: Democratic nominee Senator Wendy Davis will debate Republican nominee Attorney General Greg Abbott on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Dallas at 8 p.m. (Central Time). Check your local listings or watch a live stream of the debate via the Texas Tribune or the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram.
