Date Posted: 3/28/2014
If you are considering retiring on or before Jan. 31, 2015, you are eligible to attend a Teacher Retirement System (TRS) group retirement planning session through July 2014. Sessions will be held at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (limited to 10 members). Two concurrent sessions will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturdays (limited to 20 members each). All sessions will be held at the TRS building in Austin. View the planning session schedule and register online through MyTRS or by calling TRS at (800) 223-8778. ATPE highly recommends that anyone considering retirement consult a TRS benefits counselor to discuss the many options and steps that should be considered. If you have any questions on how to begin the process, please contact ATPE Governmental Relations.
