ATPE thanks all our members who braved the cold, wet weather to attend our Lobby Day events in Austin earlier this week. We also sincerely appreciate our guest speakers, Rev. Charles Foster Johnson of Pastors for Texas Children and Retired District Judge John Dietz. Conversation continues of future of National Board Certification within Teacher Incentive Allotment
SBEC voted at its July 23-24 meeting to require content changes in National Board materials by Nov. 2 to align with Texas law. A final vote on continued inclusion of the program in TIA is expected in December.
